I want to share some pictures. And a very interesting Neighbor of mine, from a very Popular Forest...
less then a mile are beautiful farms I love to drive by every time I go out.
Every trip to the post office, I see these guys.
And my most interesting Neighbor...
Mr. Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest Platation.
This is the front of the house...
The Plantation...
The back...
This brick wall surrounds the Rose garden. No Roses yet.
These trees in front of the house are over 250 years old.
A 4,819-acre plantation given to Thomas Jefferson and his wife Martha in 1773 by his Father-in-law.
And it is right here located in my neighborhood.
It was to be his retreat.
Thomas Jefferson hoped to spend more time here to pursue his passions of reading, writing, and gardening. However, that did not work out for him as he wished.
He and his family did spend two months here in 1781 when he had to hide out to elude British capture.
This is the road heading to the plantation.
Have a great weekend.

Hi Becky and thank you so much for visiting me and leaving a comment in my main blog {linked below}. I'm so happy to thus, have found your beautiful blog.
What a lovely Header picture you have! And this entry, on which I'm leaving this comment, is just beautiful. It certainly makes me wish I could visit your beautiful neighborhood, too.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my blog. You are very sweet, and I'm sure I've found a new blog friend. :-)
I'm so happy to hear that you agree with me, on the movie of 'Satc' After seeing it, I have hear/read some scathing reviews. -sigh- Why do they all get 'their knickers in such a twist'? ,-) It's fun and fantasy and... Well, today, I did an entry containing my *Clues* to how come one should see it as 'Fantasy.' For those who don't seem to *realize* this. -gigggles-
And you don't care for 'Miranda' either!!! ,-) She kind of irritates me. And I so wish she would soften her hair style... Wear it more often, as it is, in the wedding scene in the movie. Oh so prettttty!
Again, thank you so much for leaving a comment. So I could find you.
