We have a Winner...
Awe! Only 11 entries? My goodness, maybe I'll have to make my next give-away a bit more interesting. But really, what is more interesting than dolls.
Let me tell you about the idea for this give-away. I had been antiquing, and came across this great book on the history of dolls. Oh, was it a great find for me. I love it. So I was out again weeks later antiquing "again" and there it is again, another book just the same as the one I got for myself. And I just thought, what a great prize for a Dollie give-away. So here is just peek inside the book featured in this giveaway.

With so few entries, it makes it easy to send everyone who entered just a little something, ah.
OK, on to the drawing.
I had my dear husband pick a name this time.

And the winner is...MICA!
So Mica, just e-mail me your address and your prize will be on it's way dear. Congratulations, I think your gonna love your prizes.
And thanks to all the doll lovers out there.

Birthday Give-Away...

Yes, that's right, this is me on the day I was born.

It was 41 years ago, February 6th. I have been wanting to have this give-away all month. But I have had so much going on ( I won't go into that), I just have not had the time or energy to work it all out, but here it is. I'm back to blog land and what better way to return than with a give-away.

The theme is what else, Dolls. I have not even been sewing much and I am getting ready to jump back into that too. So I have some special finds that I've picked up at antique shops along the way, I thought would be great for this give-away. I do love dollies so, I have a great collection of dollies, and dresses, and books about dollies. So I want to share. So if you love dolls as I do, just leave a comment on this post and your are in the drawing.
I will draw one name on March 8th.

And here is a peak at the prize.

And I thought this would be a good time to share some pictures of my collections, Enjoy!

(Below) I just found this treasure last week at a little antique shop in Roanoke VA. Its a doll bed that folds up, how sweet is that.

I also want to share some of my favorite Dollie blogs.

Christine: The Pastoral Dollmaker

Mica: Garb-oodles

Nan: Atticbabys

"There is no time like the old time,
when you and I were young!"
Oliver Wendell Holmes
A flu bug, a long trip, and the passing of a love one is keeping me for the moment.
I long to get back to my sewing and catching up with all my sweet friends in blogville.
Untill then,
Smiles always,
Becky

What is this white stuff...

This pooch has been waiting for snow and she finally got some. We were surprised even though the weatherman said it would snow, we didn't believe it. Roxy just couldn't wait to get out in it. I think she forgot really what it is since last year, but she waisted no time. Here are a few pictures of what little snow we got. I really love the way my house looks covered in snow. We may get more tonight.

A Seasoned View...

And since it finally did snow I've been waiting to finish this collection of our view off our deck. I took these next pictures every season in the last year and captured all four seasons. Thought it would be fun to share our view.

~Spring~~Summer~

Ok, now back to work for me. I am working on some new dolls and things for spring. I'm so happy to be sewing for a new season.

Just what I needed... I so need a dose of something. I get this way every January. Not sure why, but I just feel like I hit a brick wall. And I have plenty to do, just can't get the kick start I need.
But this helps a lot. Some sweet friends you may know, honored me with a sweet thought. These awards are a sweet surprise. Lovely Mica of

Thanks ladies, its just what I needed.
I'm spreading the love. There are so many bloggers I visit and just love the creativity. I may not post a whole lot but I am always blog browsing and am so entertained by so much talent out here. I have to name a few...
Dawn
Christine
Sandy
Danita
And of course two very special gal's
Mica and Jeannene
The first thing I do in the mornings is make a cup of tea and drink it while I visit all these blogs to see into their worlds. The stories, the art and the humor really brighten my day.
This is my daily dose.
Thank you all for the love.

Smiles,
Becky
