Welcome Fall and A 100th Post Giveaway...

I know a bit late right. Fall has been in bloom here in Virginia quite some time now and I have much to share.
First my view out my sewing room window has had my attention.

Isn't this just beautiful. The first picture is about a month ago and the second is just last week. Today the tree is nearly empty of its leaves. Cool weather and the scent of burning leaves is the welcome reminder of the season.
And the coming season is what has kept me to my sewing. I have had my hands to work creating treasures for up coming shows. I'm already finished with one show and I have another to prepare for.

Here are a few things I have been working on for the show and I have added a couple things to my Etsy shop as well.
Here are my soldered Santa Ornaments...

And here are some of my Santa's

Blythe's Bonnet...

Yes, this is a sweet little bonnet.
I have loved it so, but I must tell you my collections usually have a purpose,
a re-purpose if you will.
A petty coat and bloomers perhaps.
And this bonnet was perfect for my new dollie
"Blythe"
Her dress is made from reproduction civil war fabric c.1860
Something to go perfect with her lovely cameo.
Blythe is hand sculpted from paper clay, hand painted face, with a antique finish.
She will be heading to the big city in November.

I think she makes a pretty Picture...

A Fair to Remember...

I have been away for much to long.
I have much fun to share. Business has picked up so I have had my Hands to Work.

First I'll share that my Charms can now be found in Richmond VA, at the new
Whole Foods Market at Short Pump.
A very sweet girl who is a buyer for Whole Foods Market contacted me through my Etsy shop (and a few other talented locals) and asked if we would be interested in having our work in the new store, in the beauty section.
So I jumped at the chance. I was at my work table with soldering Iron in hand for 3 weeks. I thought I would never get so many done, but I did. I was up to my ears in charms.

After all that it was time for a break, so my wonderful husband took me on a little spur of the moment trip. Just us two, on the road again.

To the Country Living Fair in Columbus, Ohio.

It was just wonderful, fabulous, spectacular!
I got to meet some of the most talented artist we all know and love, and I shopped till I dropped. It was a
"Craft Show on Steroids".
That is the best way I can describe it. Even with the steamy rain all day, it was still one of the most enjoyable shows I have ever been to. And meeting these artist was just a Thrill for me, and we all know how truly talented these ladies are.

When I first arrived It was right to Earth Angel Toys booth. Oh to see all this beautiful art work in person, I was in Awe.

To my surprise, I meet Jennifer Schneeman. I have loved and admired her work for many years and she was there too.

Before I left, I had to go back to Earth Angels just one last time to see if I could catch
Debbee Thibault.
She wasn't there when I first came by. But she was this time, and I must say one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure chatting with. What a treat to meet her.

What a fantastical day it was. Here are a few more pictures of the Show.
Fall is in full bloom in Ohio.
Enjoy.

Just for fun...

Even though she's sold I wanted to share more pictures of Caroline.
Her Dress was made of an old baby Christening dress slip, and the lower part of her sleeve and under skirt was made of scrim. Under her dress and slip, she wore some old vintage doll bloomers I found on one of my Antique shopping trips. She was made of paper clay and her hair was natural cotton batting from an old quilt.
And I made a crown for her too, from an old drawer pull cut into a crown.
She was embellished with vintage mother of pearl buttons and organdy ribbon and she had tiny feather wings.

Just added to my ETSY Shop
I got into my soldering iron yesterday and made a few Halloween Charms.

This one is quite larger, like an ornament.

Good Day all, Becky
